Erne Boat Hire

A family-run business that rents out the ‘little red boats’. A small pleasure craft powered by a 6hp four-stroke petrol engine that is self-drive, perfect to get out on the Lough.

The boats are purpose built for the rental market and can comfortably hold six adults + dogs.

MV Kestrel – Erne Tours

Erne Tours run a boat tour around Lough Erne. Dogs are welcome on the boat, but must be kept on a lead at all times both on board the boat and at Devenish Island.

On hot summer days, be advised the temperature under the glass can get quite warm so may not suit some animals.

Dog-Friendly Accommodation

Belmore Court & Motel

Belmore Court & Motel has dog-friendly rooms. Pets have the use of all public areas with the exception of the breakfast room. Belmore Court is located in Enniskillen, within walking distance of many new places to bring your pet. This means there are lots for you and your pet to enjoy during your stay. A Pet accommodation charge of £25 per stay applies.

Killyhevlin Hotel & Lakeside Lodges

The Killyhevlin Hotel provides dog-friendly accommodation, that will “keep your pet wagging their tail all day long”. The pet-friendly rooms are located in the hotel but also in the Self Catering Lodges. The Lakeside and Woodland Lodges provide plenty of space and privacy for your pets to roam around. Enjoy a lakeside stroll on the hotel grounds or you’ll also find a huge variety of dog-friendly walking spots with fantastic locations and landscapes for you to explore with your pet.

The Buttermarket in Enniskillen is made up of 16 Studios, Galleries, Shops and Coffee Shop in the Courtyard.

The Buttermarket is one of Ireland’s premier craft centres, located in the heart of Enniskillen.

Opened in 1990, Rebecca’s coffee shop located in the Buttermarket is open 8:30 – 5pm (Monday – Saturday). There are benches outside the coffee shop, perfect for sitting with your dog.

Fermanagh Walks

Time for a walk? Fermanagh has you sorted for the perfect walk, for both you and your pet. Enniskillen being an island town, provides many stunning walks and viewpoints, perfect to let your pet explore.

Cuilcagh Mountain

The Cuilcagh boardwalk route goes through one of the largest expanses of blanket bog in Northern Ireland.

A steep climb up the staircase is required to reach the viewing platform which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding lands.

Cole’s Monument

Located on the grounds of the Forthill Park; a beautiful five-and-a-half acre wooded park in Enniskillen.

Forthill Park takes its name from a 1689 star fort located on the site. The Forthill Promenade and Pleasure Park has always been a space for public use.

Fermanagh Dog Park

Enniskillen has a free dog park located on Henry Street.
